Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin joined a day later the eight CIS leaders who participated in a two-day informal summit hosted by President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The meeting, which began on July 2, was attended by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
