By modifying a series of provisions of the anticorruption law, the Romanian Government ordered on Wednesday that all candidates taking part in this year’s elections should present, irrespective of the office aspired for, a wealth declaration. All parliamentary opposition parties protested against the move, as it may hinder the handing in of the candidatures in due time, especially for the local elections.
