Former King Mihai to receive 30 million euros in compensation for historic real estate

The Romanian government decided to submit to parliament a draft law that would offer former King Mihai 30 million euros to settle the former monarch's claim for the Peles castle and adjacent historic property in Sinaia. According to the same bill, Mihai and his designated successor, Princess Margareta, are to be granted lifelong rights to reside in the Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest.
