Adriaan Jacobovits de Szeged, the EU permanent representative for Moldova, met with Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin in Chisinau on 31 May. Adriaan Jacobovits de Szeged confirmed during the meeding that the European Union would join the efforts to settle the conflict between Moldova and its separatist Transdniester region.
