OSCE announces suspension of talks on settling the Transdniester conflict

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) announced on March 1 that talks aimed at resolving the Transdniester conflict had been suspended until further notice. According to the OSCE's mission chief in Moldova William Hill, the talks broke down over agricultural land located on the left bank of the Dniester River and belonging to villagers from Dorotscaia on the Moldovan side. Chisinau demands the villagers should be allowed to work the land without being hindered by the secessionist authorities.
