Sergei Lavrov denounces new Moldo-Ukrainian customs rules applied at Transdniester border

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on March 14 that new customs rules applied by Ukraine at the border of Moldova’s breakaway region of Transdniester violate earlier agreements and are worsening the region's humanitarian situation. "We will demand the fulfillment of the existing agreements" Lavrov said adding that the new rules, which required all cargo to be cleared by Moldovan customs officers, violated Transdniester’s right to freely conduct its economic activities.
