Transdniestrian leader Igor Smirnov said on June 20 that his breakaway region of Moldova planed to create a "joint peacekeeping force" with the separatist Georgian provinces of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The heads of the three unrecognized republics had met last week in Sukhumi.
