Separatist authorities release two Moldovan police officers

Security forces in the separatist Transdniester region released on January 18 two Moldovan police officers who had been arrested in the city of Bender on January 14 on charges of “having plotted to violate the rights of Transdniester citizens”. Moldovan officials said the two were attempting to track down a Transdniester resident linked to the breakaway province's security services who is wanted by Moldovan police for drug trafficking.
