A court of appeals in Chisinau suspended on 28 February a decision by the municipal authorities to allow the opposition Popular Party Christian Democratic (PPCD) to hold marathon meetings in the city's central square after the 6 March parliamentary elections. The PPCD had planned to hold meetings from 7 through 22 March.
