The Moldova Republic officially rescinded its approval of Romania’s plans to open two new consulates in Cahul and Balti. An official note to this effect, sent on March 15 by the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, came a week after Chisinau officials severely criticized Bucharest’s citizenship policy.
