EU representative in Moldova Kalman Mizsei accused the Romanian government of adopting an air of condescension towards Moldovan authorities. Speaking in Bucharest on July 11, Mizsei said that as a larger country, Romania should not exacerbate its smaller neighbour's fears. He added that Bucharest should restrict its policy of granting Romanian citizenship to Moldovan citizens.
