23 non-governmental organizations signed on Frebrury 1 a "Protest Manifesto against Restoration", demanding the Government, the Parliament and the President of Romania to assure the ongoing activity of unveiling former Communist political police members by the National Council for the Research of the Securitate Archives (CNSAS).
The NGOs asked also for the dismissal of those of the Constitutional Court judges who had ruled on January 31 that some of the paragraphs of the CNSAS Act, which had been in force for seven years, were unconstitutional.
